The Marco Polo Hotel Davao

When traveling to other places espcially if it would be your first time to visit a certain place, the first thing we would like to consider is where to stay. We then jump to our computers or laptops and surf the internet to find out which hotel gives the best and or interesting accomodations. In my first hub I wrote about Eden Nature Park and Resort as one of the Best Tourist Spot In Davao City. However, it is not the only place Davao City has to offer the visitors.

Located in the heart of Davao City, is a hotel waiting for you. I'm talking about The MARCO POLO HOTEL DAVAO. Among all the famous hotels in Davao City this hotel have the most stratigic location, because, it is very near a School, the Ateneo de Davao University one of the prestigous universites in the country, it is also near Aldevinco Shopping Complex, where the visitors of Davao, can find all the local products, such as "Batik Clothes" (batik is a clothing wear which is made from tie and dye) and other tribal clothes and accessories.

It is also 15 mins. walk from the hotel going to San Pedro Cathedral for those who would like to have their exercise at the same time visitng a place of worship for those who are prayerful. But for those prayerful people who prefer the closest one, they can visit the Ateneo de Davao Univeristy Chapel which is just a few seconds away from the hotel.

On the left side of the hotel is where you can find the PNRC or the PHILIPPINE NATIONAL RED CROSS. The hotel is also near the Gaisano Mall it is just a 5 mins. jeepney, van/car ride from the hotel, for those guest who would want to visit a mall.

What You Should Know

Marco Polo Hotel Davao is located C.M Recto St. As what I have said in my first hub, going to Davao from Manila is a 1 hour and 45 mins. or in some cases 1 hour and 30 mins flight depending on how fast the airplane flies and from Francisco Bangoy Davao International Airport it takes about 20 to 30 mins. depending on the traffic jam (if you would get caught in it; that is) and by the way the hotel do have an airport to hotel transfer so it won't be much of a hussel on your part.

Marco Polo Hotel Davao is an International Deluxe Hotel located heart of Davao City which is considered as the economic hub in Mindanao. It is a four star hotel it has an 18-story building, it has 245 elegant guest rooms and suites, a fitness gym to get fit, an open air swimming pool located at the fourth floor of the building, it has a cafe which they called "Cafe Marco", a restaurant which they named "The Lotus Court", a spa and other amenities. The Marco Polo Hotel Davao is the first Marco Polo Chains of Hotels that was built here in the Philippines. They opened in the year 1997 which is marks this year as their 15th year of doing friendly business to people.

When my family and I got to spend an over night stay at the hotel, back in the days where they are still starting to become a world class hotel, we really enjoyed our stay the year was 1998 during those time digital cameras were not yet accessible so I can not upload our photos because what we used back then was a film to capture our precious moments as a family. My brother, sister and I loved swimming in their swimming pool, the Lotus Court was not yet functional at that time. We were amazed as a high schoolers and elementary student at that time because the key to our room was a card and not the usual keys which we use in the house. Though we there where many floors at that time which are not fully functional, we still had a great time staying there. The staff were nice, the rooms were clean and spacious, they even had a fridge with drinks and food inside.

Good thing our room was adjacent to that of the Davao Gulf, and it was an amazing view from above, we went up and down the elevators and at the top of the building we saw how little the people and cars were they were like ants and we even saw the very famous Mt. Apo. It was indeed fun and we had a great time spending the whole day there, which is why we make the most out of that experience. I had fun while I was still a child, and I hope you will to, now that I'm already an adult I hope to had an over night stay there again.

So what you waiting for come and visit Davao City, come and stay at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao, located at C.M. Recto St. Davao City, Philippines and explore Davao like never before.

Explore, Eat, Enjoy and Experience Fun In the Philippines, It is indeed more fun in the Philippines.
